Stage 1 : HEATING TEST A DY SAFE
Was exposed to over 1000oC ( 1830oF
) in an air – tight gas furnace for nearly 2 hours.

Stage 2 : DROPPING TEST
Immediately after the heating test, the red hot safe was
lifted up and dropprd from a height of 4 meters (14 feet).

Stage 3 : RE – HEATING TEST
After the dropping test the safe was reheated in the furnance
at over 840oC ( 1550oF ) for another 30 minutes.

Test Objectives
These tests simulated the most severe case of a house on
fire, with a safe failing through the floor and then subjected
|
Test results
Except for the melting of some metal fitting on the external
door , which had low melting points , the interior of the HANMI Safe remained intact.
The internal temperature was 130oC , well below the paper tolerance level
of 177oC in fact, the color of the paper did not even change !.
